The Houston Energy is Houston’s premiere women’s football team and a member of the Women’s Football Alliance. The Energy plays full-contact gridiron football and boasts the winningest and longest active running franchise in Houston. Established in 2000, the Energy has become synonymous with excellence, grit, and achievement in the realm of women’s athletics.
The team has earned four national titles over its over two decade history of competition. The team’s impact expands far beyond the gridiron. As pioneers in full-contact football for women, the Houston Energy stands as a beacon of empowerment, redefining the boundaries of possibility for women’s sports. Through unwavering commitment to inclusivity, the Houston Energy encourages all to embrace their dreams and strive for excellence on and off the field.

We are proudly based in Houston, Texas, but players come from all over the city, the state, and even the nation to play for the Energy. Houston boasts a great number of excellent sports teams which fans rally behind, and we are grateful to be counted among them and represent the Bayou City.
