Defensive Line Coach Jason Hemphill

Jason Hemphill is an experienced defensive coach with a strong background coaching both sides of the ball, and currently serves to sharpen the Energy’s linebackers and defensive line. He began his coaching career as a student coach at Benedict College in 1999, where he also played and graduated as a member of both the offensive and defensive lines. Hemphill has since coached at various levels, including serving as Defensive Coordinator (DC) for the Lexington Timberwolves in semi-pro football and for Keenan High School.

He also spent three years coaching arena football in Asheville, where he held both Offensive Coordinator (OC) and Defensive Coordinator (DC) roles with the Carolina Venom. In 2010, Hemphill led the Carolina Warriors to a championship as the Head Coach.

In 2019, Hemphill transitioned to women’s tackle football in Houston, where he continues to build on his extensive coaching experience.
